I help people around Grand Rapids figure out the house part of whatever they're building. Some days that's a mortgage, some days a listing, some days a spreadsheet at my kitchen table. It usually ends up being the same conversation.

I've worn a lot of hats. One of them was a chef's hat.
I started my career at Morgan Stanley on a wealth management team, where most of my day was spent talking clients through their money. I co-owned a bakery after that, and now I run Mortgage Up, the lending company I built, while working as a Realtor with Boss Lady Realty. Three careers on paper. In practice it's been one job the whole time: taking numbers that make people nervous and walking them through until they're not.
I'm based in Grandville, licensed to lend anywhere in Michigan, and most of my work is around Grand Rapids and West Michigan. First house, next house, a refinance that finally makes the numbers work, a flip you're not sure about yet. A lot of people get told no when the real answer is not yet. Figuring out the path from one to the other is most of my job.
Off the clock I'm in the garden, in the pool, or hosting whoever showed up. Two dogs, ten chickens, and a pond full of koi. The chickens are finally paying rent.
